schematic for swan microwave

Recommended Posts

Guest Eugene Rounds

Does any body out there know were I can get the schematic for a SWAN MICROWAVE SM2050? I have 2 x 47 ohm 5 Watt resistors that get very hot while cooking

WARNING!!! Don't operate a microwave oven without covers in place. Your risking very serious injures if not death.

Personally I would not ever operate a microwave without the covers in place as you can receive fatal RF radiation dosage.

You can contacting Swan and they might of help. Their contact info is below. As for the resistors getting very hot this most l ikely just undersized components. I have ran into this a lot in consumer products.

Temperature is may be fine although this will cause a circuit board over time will gradually burn the resins in the fiberglass. If your unit is working in all areas then I would just install either larger wattage resistors totaling 20 watts or larger. You also add a heatsink as an alternative.
