audio would fade out or just quit w/cable TV, now using satellite digital box and no problem.
Attempting to program universal remote it would add 1 or 2 blank inputs at the end (av/s-video, hdmi menu) untill unplug reset on/off.
Occasionally would freeze controls from remote, no volume, channel, input untill reset.
My plan is to first check voltage at pinouts on power board to determine if power board faulty but from there I am not sure how to check other boards and ILO does not exist now. So no hopes of a service manual at least i can't google one. Supposedly this was manufactured by Akai, or Funai (the same model # but as obscure as ILO) but the only crossover I see on parts is a few LG models. Heres the main boards and prices add up to almost a new TV.
Any guidance and help appretiated.

The Pic can handle a low freq. PWM (50Hz, 1ms high state out) and can acquire demodulated radio signals coming from radio rx (Power PWM / Input Capture modules, operating on side the main pic program).
There is a Quadrature encoder for measuring engine RPMs...
The Pic18f4431 is a Dip40, but there is a reduced version (Pic18f2431).
Like most 18f pics, Low voltage programming is default enabled, with a Art2003 programmer can be programmed first time with a Rs232 bootloader.
The C18 Library is not excellent for manage some peripherals (IE USART/PPWM/IC/QEI), but reading each section, isn't hard to set the working configuration.

In my opinion the embedded software person will have good understanding of all the board level peripherals and low level device drivers which would help in RTL level design. I've got a problem with my old jvc tv model av21mf11sef. When I turn it on,the led becomes red and a pulsating short sound comes from the tv's rear. The screen is black and has no sign of power. Meanwhile I will search for a manual. If you can help me before I will find the solution, I will be very glad.

Some parts are burned so I need exact values and markings.

I write this post just to present me, as a just arrived new electromaniac.
I'm live in Lisbon, Portugal and I am finishing my studies as Mechanical Engineer.

I have just had a hyundai HPTD-4202S 42" plasma tv brought in for repair, This is also a samsung PS42P2ST (all boards and panel).

I have searched google ect... for the diagram but can not find anything anywhere!!!.

The power supply has an ic that has blown the face of it so the number is not readable. The power supply is the LJ44-00092C (V4C REV 0.12)

IF ANY BODY CAN HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT, THE IC NUMBER IS (IC561) I have checked most of the board and apart from a zener diode that was short this is all that remains.

A friend of mine has recently acquired a TVR 5120 without a remote control. We managed to purchase a specific remote but the TV recorder is only responding some of the time and mostly not responding at all. I just managed to get Chan5 tuned in and then couldn't get the machine to respond at all to the RC. I know the remote is working (as in some sort of an output) as I have an IR detector card so can see the light.


Unrelated - I had had two Ferguson video recorders where 1 remote would work both, and the other would only work it's own. This was apparently as a device id had been added to the spec. Perhaps the wrong device id is being output by the RC? Strange that it works some of the time though?? The replacement remote is a genuine Grundig 076ROCH500. Would anybody happen to know here a place of reference to see if this remote is actually the right one? Grundig are worst than useless regarding information. Are they even Grundig anymore or just another chain busing a trusted brand name to pretend their rubbish is good!?


Perhaps it could be the ir detector on the TV/Vid at fault? As you can see, I'm a bit stuck on where to look frst. I don't expect any conclusive answers here but any hints as to what to suspect will be welcomed.
